Garbage pickup is every Tuesday.  Recycling is every-other Tuesday. 
If there is a holiday on a Monday, then garbage and recycling will be on Wednesday instead of Tuesday.  You can double check the Recycling Schedule here.

It is very important that your cans, bottles, jars, etc. are washed clean. 
If they are dirty, or if items that are not on the approved list are put into the recycling, then Republic will no longer collect our recycling.

When putting your cans out at the curb, please leave at least 2 feet between cans. 
The refuse truck has a large claw that grasps the cans so it needs room to reach between the cans.  Also make sure your cans aren’t placed right next to or behind a car or it could get scratched.  Place the cans where it’s easy for the truck’s claws to reach them.

Extra or Over-sized Items
Republic Services’ policy is to charge $10 for each extra item placed outside of the garbage or recycling can.  In addition, items cannot exceed 50# or 4 ft. in length.  However, Republic Services is waiving this charge and size limit for residents of Stelle. 
When you call Republic Services to let them know that you will have an extra item (see phone number below), the operator will tell you that there is a $10 charge and size limitations.  Go ahead and give them your address and the charge will be waived when the bill is sent to us.  However, since there is only one truck driver, please be considerate and don’t put out extremely heavy and large items.  For example, if you have carpeting, please cut it into smaller lengths that he can lift by himself to put in the truck.   You must give Republic Services 24 hours notice or you will be charged $30. 
Appliances and electronics are not accepted…!!!
