Summer Water-Rate Reductions

On especially hot and dry summers, the SCA Board of Directors is likely to implement a special Agricultural/Landscaping Water Rate.  This is to encourage the watering of trees, plantings, gardens, etc. 

The reduced rate is typically 2/3 of the regular price for community water.

In order to qualify for this special rate, the resident’s water usage must have increased by at least 20% over their normal usage as averaged over the past 12 months.  Such increase must be due to usage that does not require subsequent sewage treatment.

The special rate is applicable only to the increased volume.  The normal monthly usage of water shall be billed at the regular rate.

If the reduced rate option is implemented, residents must contact the Office Manager, Jen Abel (sca@stelle.net) to apply for the special rate.
